Madi Fleming
Madi is a doctoral student in the Structural Geology and Tectonics group. She completed her BSc and Master’s at the University of Otago (New Zealand) in 2025. Her Master’s thesis focused on ice deformation to investigate microstructure processes (GBS vs Disl.) at various pressures and develop a grain-size piezometer for ice.
She began her doctorate in October 2025 investigating pressure solution creep of metasedimentary rocks (quartz-mica aggregates) under supervision by Leif Tokle and Whitney Behr.
