Emily Hinshaw

Emily is a doctoral student in the Structural Geology and Tectonics group. She studies deformation and slow-slip earthquake processes along the shallow subduction interface as well as the consequences of sediment subduction. Emily is primarily working in southern Alaska for her research, but also works with the Bedretto Laboratory (BULGG) in the Swiss Alps. She received her BSc in Geology from the College of William & Mary (Virginia, USA) and her MSc in Geological Sciences from the Jackson School of Geosciences, the University of Texas at Austin (Texas, USA).
